I just finished doing a search on YA and there are a whole lot of posts about Dan Fogelberg's passing, and I actually read through most of them and the majority, like me, have been very touched by him over the years. I actually posted a message on YA last night around after I read about it while I was online. I can't even imagine a world without him and any new music that I'm sure he would have written.
Fortunately we will always have the music he did create while he was with us. My younger years are filled with memories of his incredible music. I don't really remember exactly how or where I "discovered" him - I like to think he discovered me. He so touched me. Even though I didn't know him personally, I feel like he knew me because the way he wrote was just the way I tho dan fogelberg death ught and felt.
His kind of talent is almost non-existent anymore. As far as I'm concerned, he is one of the most gifted and talented artists of my generation. Such a beautiful human being. The world is less now. My heart is hurting. Yes, it has made me think a lot today about how very short this life is on this earth. It makes it all that more precious. I just wish we could all treat each other with that same sense of how special and precious we all are.
