Well, it was not a great film, not for the standards of Vijay Sethupathi I've been looking for. Because of little commercialised with traditional Tamil cop film style, including punch dialogues and the way of confronting the bad guy.
Yet quite enjoyable. Sethupathi is an honest cop. Married with two kids. The criminals are scared of him and so people in the department under him. Well, one day he tied up to investigate the death of a police officer. But it begins to take a twist every time he nears to resolve it.
Soon a direct confrontation happened between him and the bad guy. And after a series of challenges exchanged between them, finally who would triumph and how it all happen are told in the final quarter. This is the second collaboration between the director and the actor. Not the seen the first film, now I'll give it a try. It also a second collaboration between two lead pair after 'Pizza'. Nice performances by all, including the little ones. The domestic audience might like it better than the outsiders.
